The word Paramarthika taken by the author from Hinduism means the ultimate meaning, as in the sense of the eternal prescription. In joining it with dharma, that is actions and ways of living, we come to the concept of Paramarthika Dharma.
A person who is not guided by Dharma has a meaningless existence. The foundation of Paramarthika Dharma is total non-violence, otherwise known to Hindus as ahimsa. Why should this be the case?
The answer is that it is serving the universe and not destroying it. In Vishista-advaita this is the union of a person with God Sri Krishna, the source of all enlightened inspirations and revelations.
