This website was created on 31 July 2008 with the objective of starting a database of the important elements of the World's natural resources and the human activities that add pressure on the natural release of Earth's diverse products for mankind to use, the premise being that usage is made unsustainable when undue pressure is subjected on to the natural environment by man. The basis for the formulation of policies for sustainable use of resources is that the Earth was not a spontaneous chance occurrence in the immensity of the universe but was Created, and as such it has the Creator's constant concern as a special place in the universe. Since human beings are part of Nature and we see considerable, almost unlimited, creativity potential in human beings that has manifested itself in science, agriculture, technology, sports, art, music, literature, and especially religious literature, the creativity in mankind is itself understood to be have been imparted by Mother Nature. The quest for knowledge on the meaning of life and on the point of existence has haunted man since time immemorial, and there are known to be have been figures who have delved into these questions throughout the recent 10,000 years of history. Modern science places us in a much more advantageous position than our forefathers were in that we have their data and new techniques and facilities to continue this search. Present-day review and analysis cannot ignore anything of what has been written or handed down to our generation through word of mouth in our quest to update ourselves on what we know about our existence.
Any tourist will know that the faster the travel the less we see so that scientific pursuit is necessarily a slow process at the individual level of understanding. And it is true beyond a shadow of doubt that a scientist cannot hope to fathom the natural world if he ignores religious thought as something that belongs to a book of fairy tales. It is religious thought that has civilised mankind and those of a spiritual bent of mind are predisposed to true knowledge acquisition. History shows us that science and religion have been inseparable in the Hindu mind for this very reason.
Modern scientists with a disdainful attitude to religion are totally deluded in their analysis of the plant and animal kingdom that the laws of survival of the fittest put forward in the 18th century must remain the basis of all future scientific endeavours. It is religious faith that has tempered the aggression of mankind into a civilised existence taking apeman as being the highest mammal that adapted to its environment better than other animals could. Man as a social animal with the social behaviour of insects or within a pride of lions would have ensured that across the world he was living in cooperation with other human beings for the survival and propagation of the species. This is not borne out by the evidence as conflicts and wars have been a constant occurrence throughout human history. These wars cannot be classified as simply racial wars to perhaps establish the superiority of one variety of humans against another in the Darwinian concept of the survival of the fittest physically and mentally since the term animal changed to human as an evolutionary development through selection for intelligence from ape species into intellect in modern homo sapiens, the term intellect finally incorporating the concept of justice from which arose the great world religions. None of this can be explained in terms of natural selection alone for globally humans have the same basic attributes now in diverse climatic situations; and yet the concept of niche separation is valid for individually humans survive by developing their own niche areas of work and act to fight off competition or encroachment into individual niches that threaten individual livelihoods, acting with pre-emptive moves that are psychic in aetiology. In view also of the conflict-free periods of stability in human affairs, the case for Guided Evolution and the often discussed 'Grand Design' remains persuasive.
Evolution also needs to take account of the fact that within humanity wars between nations were a mixture of economic, racial and religious wars although there are instances of revenge and superiority establishment motives too for initiating conflicts, so that overall there are no straightforward categories within which these can be pigeon-holed. The reflection over history however reveals that the desire to end the suffering of fellow human beings as of the religious group practising Judaism being starved and massacred in the concentration camps of Austwitcz (and elsewhere in Europe) during 1925-1933 period, apparently stirred the conscience of some individuals of a different religion and race to launch military action to prevent that extermination as the Allied Nations came together for the Second World War against Adolf Hitler and his entourage, with the State of Israel being subsequently born as a homeland-refuge for Jewish people in order to prevent a recurrence of this terrible historical episode so that today they are able to practice their spiritual faith without persecution. It is also relevant that two different racial groups of humans in the Germans and Japanese had cooperated with each other in an attempt to divide the world into two halves for the economic exploitation of world resurces by dominating over the other western colonial powers. How does one analyse these historical events to determine the underlying causes and effects?
Searching for the truth on the underlying purpose for Earth so that it's scientific secrets are gradually revealed to man through an exploration of nature is a wonderful manner in which to live ones life. Such a life is impossible if one harbours malice or spite against another human being - after the initial emotions of anger have subsided. This is true no matter what the level of injustice a person has suffered at the hands of another person or a group of perpetrators. A true scientist with a religious faith to guide his day-to-day activities develops an understanding that the injustices themselves are quite simply another part of Nature so that he gets on with the next task at hand, for there is so much to discover. In his ignorance man must not lose the opportunity of acquiring the potential wealth of interesting knowledge of Nature and its attributes for only the surface of that reservoir on Earth has so far been scratched by scientists.
It is beyond the capacity a single individual to know more than a tiny part of the planet, let alone of the solar system and even less the wider universe. The most a single human being can do is to determine what little he or she can in his tiny life-span write it down and set up a data base that is transparent and free for any human being in the world to access at the touch of a button, as modern science into the Internet era has enabled. Selfishness in keeping to oneself what one knows to be true for its exploitation either for career, finance or legacy is unforgivable. It is with these thoughts that this website was opened so that scientists from around the world may examine their individual geographical, climatic and natural resource endowments in relation to the needs of their population and use the knowledge with no delay involved in trying to cope with their difficulties in order to ensure that the population of their country thrives at one with their natural surroundings.
